My Work

Olivia Janet Coker is a 9 year old Junior writer and illustrator that has had the passion since she was 6years old.

Her stories, poetry and illustrations have sparked interest among her family, and her work has been taken round her school to show how adept she is in her story telling and extraordinary vocabulary.

Olivia’s hobbies include swimming, You-Tubing, listening to music and travelling, which is where she experiences the different cultures that influence some of her stories and Anime. Some of her main inspiration, comes from Japan who are famously known for their Anime.

Anime is highly popular in Japan. The storylines and characters are real, and so are their problems. and because of its visual freedom, producers can make these narratives seem larger than life. In the words of a famous anime expert, Takamasa Sakurai: the unique genre is loved due to its unconventional nature.

Olivia is a kind hearted, cheerful and witty young girl that doesn’t shy away from discussions on things  she is passionate about, such as racial equality and global warming.
